Lockdown survival tips


Hey guys, how are you holding up? I personally can’t wait for all of this to be over. It’s been a tiring, not to mention scary couple of weeks. Seeing as we’re on lockdown and lockdowns can become very boring very fast, I’ve compiled a list of things you can do in this period.




1. Take an online course: whether you’ve been looking to get a degree, improve an existing skill or learn a new one, this is the time for it.

2. Read a book: but of course! You can even start a virtual book club to share insights and ideas.

3. Build your social media presence: this is especially for business owners. Start a YouTube channel, get a Pinterest account, organize your website, update your blog, create content.

4. Pray/Meditate: Has you excuse for not being as prayerful as you used to be work? Well look at that…….. you’ve got time now. Pray, meditate, draw closer to your God.

5. Screen time: Catch up on movies and series you’ve queued up since 2019.

6. Workout: We don’t want to come out of this unhealthy and displeased with our bodies.

7. Family time: A lot of video calls will help you this period. Keep in touch with your loved ones.

8. Self-reflect: Take a look at your life, be honest with yourself. What would you like to change? What would you like to improve on? Who should you cut off? What bridges should you burn? What amends do you want to make?

9. Clean and organize your house.

10. Find a way to not be broke: You can write articles for a fee, edit pictures for content creators, the possibilities are endless. Make virtual money.

11. Write a book:  What better time than now.

12. Protect your mental health.

13. Create a bucket list: being on lockdown really makes you think about all the things you’ve always wanted to do but kept putting off. Create a list.


So, there you have it. We'll come out of this stronger and better. Remember to wash your hands, use a hand sanitizer, maintain a good personal hygiene and don't give in to fear.

  2. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 12 for me during this lock down. 12 is very important because after this period, a lot of people will need therapy. Reason why everyone should try to protect their Mental Health at all cost during these times.
