Are you Learning from your Mistakes?

One thing we can all agree on is that : we ALL make mistakes. Whether we acknowledge it or not, we all make mistakes.

Often times, we assume people learn from these mistakes , ALAS!!!! some people continue in folly (we all know at least one person). It's not mostly their fault, learning from your mistakes can be pretty hard. You might have been programmed to hide your mistakes so that nobody else could criticize, judge or embarrass you for making it. On the surface, this might make you feel a little better but lowkey, the mistake you made will eat you up with guilt.

When we don't learn from our mistakes, we inflict unnecessary stress on ourselves and on others, and we risk losing people's confidence and trust in us.

While you don’t want to dwell on your mistakes, reflecting on them can be productive. Ask yourself a few tough questions:

• What went wrong?

• What could I do better next time?

• What did I learn from this?

In answering these questions (honestly of course), you are much more likely to correct yourself and succeed the next time.

How do you learn from mistakes?

PS: Making mistakes doesn't mean you're a failure. Dwelling on and not learning from your mistakes are what pushes you towards the failure meter.
