The Psalms and the Shepherd

A young man often performed at a local theatre every evening. All he did was recite psalms 23 and every evening after his presentation, the audience would clap and cheer him. One evening, after his presentation and the usual cheering of the crowd, a little boy came out and recited the same chapter (psalms 23), and when he was done, people started weeping including the young man.

The difference between both men is that: the young man knows the Psalms, and the little boy knows the Shepherd.

Knowing the Shepherd makes a whole lot of difference. My prayer is for God to make us experience the power behind the letters. Knowing the letter kills but the spirit behind the letters bring forth life.
