All about Vision boards

Hiya!!!!!!

How's 2019 going? Great I hope. Today, I want to talk to you about Vision Boards and also walk you through creating one. Vision boards are easy and fun to create. But first, what's the hype?!

Creating a vision board is a fun, tangible, and powerful way to bring your dreams/goals/aspirations to life. A vision board gives you the push to face your goals and jumpstart the year with your eyes on the prize.

A vision board is collage representing things you would like to attract to your life. Vision boards can focus on something specific, like career, love life, or goals for the year. Or, you can make a board that encompasses general life desires.

We live in an intention-dependent universe. So it’s important to get clear on what it is we want to create in our lives and in the world. What we put our attention on grows. And taking the time to create a vision board can change the trajectory of the rest of your year and life.

Now that we're all caught up, let's get right to it

What you'll need

  • A posterboard, cork board,straw board,book or small canvas.
  • A stack of old magazines.
  • Scissors.
  • Markers or paint.
  • Glue, tape, thumbtacks or pins.
  • A photo of yourself (optional)
  • Mementos and or photos that inspire you

Set aside about an hour to complete your vision board. Go to a quiet space in your home where you can concentrate on yourself for a little while.

STEP 1

Cut out images from magazines that represent the life you want to live. For example, if you want to become a public speaker, clips photos of a large audience listening to a speaker, if you want to become a fashion designer, clip photos of models wearing designer clothing on the runway or red carpet photos. If you want to find a great romantic partner, you might snip pictures of happy couples smiling at each other or clip an image of cupid.
STEP 2

Place the photo of yourself in the middle of the board (optional). Then, paste or pin your magazine images on your board. There’s no “right way” to arrange your images. You can fill the board with pictures or just have a few posted all over on the board.
STEP 3

Use your markers or paint to write your personal mantra, favourite verse or other favourite quotes onto your vision board. You can also just cut out words or phrases from the magazines to paste on your board that remind you of the life you want to live.

STEP 4

Display your vision board somewhere you’ll see it every day and feel inspired! If you like, you can also frame your vision board and hang it on your wall.

andddddddddd VIOLA!!!!!!!!!! You're all done.

I want a vision board that goes everywhere with me, so I created a mini board on my journal. See
below

Also, I have a vision board app on my phone. which ever works for you. The ultimate goal is to have a visual representation og the kind of life you want for yourself.

DISCLAIMER: Don't expect your vision board to work unless YOU do!
