Life's Choices

We have often heard that life is a sum of all the choices that we make. Some people feel like life has taken away all of their choices, but then, we are alive and responsible for our own choices. Every circumstance is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life.

The choices you make, both good and bad, will continue to be your own. You are who you are because of your choices, no one else. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, the church, the government, your friends, and the circumstance that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every choice you make. Just YOU.

No matter what we encounter along life's path, we, alone, choose how we address it. We have all been given free will and can choose with each day. Each morning when you wake up, you have two choices. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood. Each time something bad happens, you can choose to be a victim or you can choose to learn from it. Choose the positive side of life.

If you choose unwisely, ours is a God of second chances. Lamentation 3:22-23 remind us that “God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness.”

“We are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime.” Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
